4 Parts of a Workout:

  1. Warm-up: Start with about 5 to 10 minutes of light aerobic exercises in your own comfort zone, giving your body time to increase blood supply to the muscles so that they have greater flexibility. Everyone wants to skip this step and just go heavy. Remember lifting heavy Hurts if not done Correctly.
  2. Stretching: Take at least 15 minutes to stretch your muscles. Stretching after your warm-up reduces the chance of injury. Nobody enjoys Stretching, but it is a necessary if you want to remain Injury Free.
  3. Aerobic Activity: Set a goal of at least 30 minutes of exercise during your Aerobic Activity. Plan on three times a week, when starting out. Try not to cross any pain thresholds when starting out. The old adage of No Pain No Gain keeps the Chiropractor Very Busy.  So Slow down if you feel tired or are in Pain. All you need to do is add a little time and effort each week. The goal is to improve the frequency, duration, and intensity of your exercise over a period of time. That the Correct way to get in Shape with out getting hurt and  injured.
  4. Cool-down Period: Bring the intensity down rather than coming to a complete stop. Remember to perform simple stretches after doing your intense aerobic session.
